Alpe du Grand Serre
WINTER SEASON : From December 22 to March 29 2013
The family ski resort, Alpe du Grand Serre, is perched at the top of a mountain pass between the Romanche and Roizonne valleys, at the start of the Oisans mountains in Isère.
At an altitude of 1,368m, it is surrounded by the Taillefer massif and Grand Serre mountain.
There are six hamlets with just 150 permanent inhabitants!
Although the SATA lift company has been managing the resort since 2001, the ski tourism activity actually started back in 1938. In the 1960s, a boom time for winter sports, its name “La Morte” was changed to “Alpe du Grand Serre”.
The resort now has 14 lifts and 32 slopes covering 54km.
Why not visit the cross-country site too with its 6 circuits and 2 training modules offering 20km of marked trails for cross-country skiing and 15km of ungroomed, marked itineraries for Nordic skiing.
L’Alpe du Grand Serre is just 45 minutes from Grenoble (45km) and 55 minutes (55km) from Alpe d’Huez grand domaine Ski.
