Be first on the slopes in Alpe d'huez

Be the first to descend Alpe d'Huez on mountain bike, well before the opening of the summer season .  SATA and the Office of Tourism is organizing a mountain bike downhill event on the piste of the Sarenne, Saturday, April 19, 2008.

The 16 km Sarenne trail begins on the snowy peak of Pic Blanc at 3330m and has a vertical drop of 2000m, half of which will be covered in snow.  The finish is at the the village of Huez. 

Nico VOUILLOZ (ten time winner of the Downhill Mountain Bike World Championships) and  Ophélie DAVID (four time World Cup winner) will be with you to enjoy this exciting event.

"Rocky Sports" wil host a 2008 Bike Test Day, allowing you to ride the latest models of Lapierre, Specialized and Rocky Mountain Bikes.  Be sure to reserve a bike well in advance of the event.

The Entree fee is 20€ and includes lift pass, lunch, and insurance.  A full helmet, long gloves, knee pads and shoulder pads are required.
