The Alpe d’Huez skilifts

The skilifts are the main means of transportation in winter sport resorts. Some become too old, are renewed with new technology, decorating and giving rhythm to the life in our mountains. We leave it to you to make your opinion as well as preparing your furture visit to the slopes.

The Télévillage :

Since 1981, it joins Huez Village to the bottom of the resort summer and winter alike. It is easily visible thanks to the shape of its cabins which look like big eggs. More informations…

The Télécentre :

Since 1982, it travels across the resort, leaving from the Tourist information office and arriving at the bottom of the slopes, close to the Signal. We call it   » Baskets  » because of the shape of its cabins. More informations…

DMC des Grandes Rousses :

Built in 1986, it serves both the 1st (at 2100 m) and the 2nd section (at 2700 m). Its arrival station is also cable car departure station of the Pic Blanc which taken you to the highest point of the area: the Pic Blanc (3300 m). More informations…

The Pic Blanc cable car:

Constructed in 1980, it has been since then the subject of many renovations. This vertiginous cable car is famous for the visible impressive panorama from its summit and the mythical black ski runs which it serves: Sarenne and the Tunnel. It is the link between the station of the 2nd section of the DMC (at 2700 m) and the top of the Pic Blanc (3300 m). More informations…

The Marmottes chairlift :

It replaces since 2009 the gondola lift of Marmottes I and takes its departure at the bottom of the slopes in the sector of Les Bergers to reach the height of 2300 m, from the gondola lift of the Marmottes II. This new chairlift possess some kind of bubbles to protect its passengers from the bad weather.

Les Marmottes II :

Built in 2000, its departure is situated at the arrival of Marmottes I at 2300 m and serves the Clocher de Mâcle at 2800 m  where are only black ski slopes. It also allows to reach the Funitel of Marmottes III. More informations…

Le Funitel (Marmottes III ) :

Built in 2004, it is one of the last innovations on the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine and it is the first funitel  in the world which makes round trips. It represents an alternative to the cable car of the Pic Blanc to reach the glacier. It takes its departure at the arrival of the Marmottes II (at 2800 m) to reach  3060 m of height.  More informations

Dôme des Rousses cable car :

It possesses two sections. The first one, built in 1989,  takes its departure at the level of the village of Vaujany, at 1250 m of height and serves l’Alpette at 2050 m. The second section, put in service the same year leaves Alpette to reach the Dome des Rousses at 2800 m of height above the station 2700 m DMC. These two cable cars can transport up to 160 equipped skiers each. More informations…

The Alpette gondola lifts

These gondola lifts, settled in 1988, take their departure in Oz en Oisans, at 1350 m and serve Alpette at 2050 m. More informations…

The Poutran gondola lifts

The gondola lifts of Poutran allow since 1987 to link Oz en Oisans at 1350 m with the first section of the DMC at 2100 m. More informations…

The Alpauris chairlift

This chairlift, built in 1988 at the level of the sector of Les Bergers, links the resort of  Alpe d’Huez with the bottom of Le Signal de l’Homme. Its laying-out presents the particularity to come down in the valley of Sarenne before going back up to reach the bottom of Le Signal de l’Homme. It also differs by the existence of its intermediate station, in the hollow of the valley of Sarenne, which allows to embark the skiers to Alpe d’Huez only. More informations…
