Information about the resort
The village of Oz en Oisans has been linked to the lift system of Alpe d’Huez since 1988.
In the heart of the village, two gondola lifts (lifts system timetable) give fast access to the heart of the 2000m-high domain, and to 250km of tracks, or 37 mountain bike circuits. Bikers’ map
Alpe d’Huez is used to welcoming many mountain biking events, but the most famous is the Megavalanche which sees 2,000 participants from more than 20 countries competing over seven days. The final course starts at the top of Pic Blanc, 3300m above sea level, and winds down through Oz en Oisans to the finish line at Allemont.
Oz en Oisans is also an ideal starting point for excursions: vary your walks over 230km of footpaths and circuits. Walkers’ map
Vast Galaxy: with your 6-day (or more) Visalp pass you also have access for the day to the MTB trails of the neighbouring resorts of Les 2 Alpes, Serre Chevalier, Sestrières, Montgenèvre and Puy Saint Vincent.
