Oz en Oisans is going all out for mountain bikers, in conjunction with the Sports Federations, pro and amateur riders, manufacturers, specialised media and, this year, the Nissan European Downhill Cup. The dates in Oz are particularly favourable at the end of July, which should ensure participation by the best riders and the presence of a large number of enthusiasts as well as a vast vacationing public.
THE TRACK -> All major events have their own special track. For downhill events, the Poutran track is to mountain biking what Kandahar is to skiing and Monza is to Formula one racing. For the European Cup event, the standard distance will be reduced to limit racing times to 2.5 to 3 minutes, a requirement for the live television coverage. The start in the forest will be followed by a series of banked curves and Northshore-style sections. On average, the slope of the track is 22°, with sections reaching 33°. The finish in the fields below will be spectacular with two enormous jumps and a 33° final schuss.
Patron saint of the joiners, the carpenters, the lacemakers and the linen maids, Anne is also the patron saint of Huez. Two days punctuated with many events: parade with genuine costumes, garage sale, mass in honour of Saint Anne, trout fishing, country meal and popular dance.

This event will take place on the Eclose track of 4,920 ft, with one-third soil and with relief favourable to spectacular jumps, featuring the best of this discipline.

4-Cross. Following a qualification phase, four racers take 30 to 60 seconds to travel down a track, pass through or over various obstacles and try to be the first to cross the finish line.
Trial. The goal is to cover a course studded with tricky obstacles in a limited amount of time. Balance is the key to winning this event.
